According to MelodicRock.com, VAN HALEN — featuring David Lee Roth on vocals — will likely play two dates in Las Vegas at The Pearl at The Palms Casino on April 27-28 before kicking off a full North American tour sometime late spring. A list of 17 VAN HALEN tour dates was posted online over the weekend, but those are now said to be "merely a proposed itinerary/routing that is no longer valid," according to the site.
Billboard.com reported last week that a deal was nearly done for VAN HALEN to embark on a summer tour that would include 40 amphitheatre shows.
Guitarist Eddie Van Halen recently told Rolling Stone, "Everything is up in the air. We don't want to say anything prematurely," hinting that VAN HALEN would tour this summer whether David Lee Roth was the singer or not.
The band now includes Eddie's son Wolfgang on bass, replacing original bass player Michael Anthony.
